First Person HiLo

Game Objective

First Person HiLo is a fast-paced game that allows you to guess whether the next card dealt will be higher, lower or the same value as the current card. Strategise wisely, make the right choices, and enjoy the winnings that come with them!

Game Rules

Placing bets

The game begins with an initial random card on the table. You can refresh the initial card as many times as you want before starting the game round.

Then select your bet amount and click/tap PLAY to begin the main game round.

Main Game Round

When you click/tap PLAY, you are presented with two options for predicting the value of the next dealt card: “Lower or same” and “Higher or same”. The only exceptions are for an Ace, where the options are “Lower” and “Same”, and for a 2, where the options are “Same” and “Higher”. Each option has a payout offer (before rounding) attached to it that you receive if you guess correctly.

Once you have made your choice, another card is dealt on the table on top of the initial card. If you guess incorrectly, you lose your bet, and the game round ends. If you guess correctly, you can either collect your winnings by clicking/tapping the “Cash Out” button or make a prediction about the next card to be dealt. The new options will have new payout values shown on them. Each new card is dealt from a new deck.

You can see the total multiplier in the current game round in the Round Information on your screen.

Cash Out

The game round continues as long as you keep choosing correctly and growing your winnings. The game round ends when you either click/tap on the “Cash Out” button and collect your winnings, or when you make a wrong choice and lose.

The “Cash Out” button can only be used when making a choice and becomes available after the first correct guess.

Payouts

Bet Payout
Main 0.08:1–12.00:1

The payout offers are calculated as a pay table multiplier on the bet and not rounded until you make a decision. The winnings are rounded according to the game’s Rounding rules and visible on the “Cash Out” button. For a more detailed explanation, see the Rounding chapter. The multiplier depends on the probability of the result: if the probability is high, the multiplier is lower, and if the probability is low, the multiplier is, therefore, higher.

Please note that a 1% commission is included in the offers in the first decision stage.

Please note that any malfunction voids the game round and all eventual payouts for the round. Bets will be returned.

Return to Player

The Optimal theoretical RTP of First Person HiLo is 99.00% for the first card, and 100.00% on all successful guesses for the next cards.

Maximum payout for all your winnings within a game round is limited to 500,000. If payouts for both choices exceed the 500,000, only the “Cash Out” button is available.

Place Bets

The BET LIMITS panel shows the minimum and maximum allowed bet limits at the table, which may change from time to time. Open the Bet Limits to check your current limits.

To participate in the game, you must have sufficient funds to cover your bets. You can see your current BALANCE on your screen.

The CHIP DISPLAY allows you to select the value of each chip you wish to bet. Only chips of denominations that can be covered by your current balance will be enabled.

If your balance is too high to be reflected in the CHIP DISPLAY, the CHIP PLAQUE will appear.

Once you have selected a chip, place your bet by simply clicking/tapping the bet spot on the game table. Each time you click/tap the bet spot, the amount of your bet increases by the value of the selected chip or up to the maximum limit for the bet. Once you have bet the maximum limit, no additional funds will be accepted for the bet, and a message will appear above your bet to notify you that you have bet the maximum.

After you have placed your bet, click/tap the PLAY button to start the round.

The REBET button allows you to repeat all your bets from the previous game round. This button becomes available after every game round.

The DOUBLE (x2) button becomes available after you have placed any bet. Each click/tap doubles all your bets up to the maximum limit. Note that you must have a sufficient account balance to double ALL your placed bets.

The UNDO button removes the last bet you placed.

You can click/tap the UNDO button repeatedly to remove bets, one by one, in the reverse order in which they were placed. You can clear all your bets by holding the UNDO button.

The TOTAL BET indicator displays the total amount of all bets placed in the current round.

Round Statistics

Game results are recorded and presented to you in the Round Statistics view. They show every revealed card in the game round, the result (Higher, Lower, or Same), and if you Cash Out or Bust. Results are provided sequentially from right to left, with the most recent result being the leftmost.

Rounding

Your winnings will always be rounded up or down to the nearest smallest unit of currency (for example, eurocents for EUR, cents for USD, pennies for GBP, and no decimals for JPY), to no more than two decimals, using an RNG-based approach. This method introduces an element of randomness to the rounding process. Here’s how it works:

  • First, the unsupported decimal part is converted (underlined here for clarity) into six-digit numbers (i.e., hundreds of thousands). For example, 1.263 becomes 300,000, 5.23568696 becomes 568,696, 4.25034 becomes 34,000.
  • In the second step, a random number between 1 and 1,000,000 is generated.
  • Finally, if the converted six-digit number is higher than or equal to this RNG-generated random number, the unit of currency is rounded up. If it’s lower, the unit of currency is rounded down.

Example: Let’s assume that the number 500,000 is randomly generated in the second step. In this case, our example numbers would be rounded up or down as follows: 1.263 would be rounded down because 300,000 is lower than 500,000; 5.23568696 would be rounded up because 568,696 is higher than 500,000; and 4.25034 would be rounded down because 34,000 is lower than 500,000.
