In and Out
Game Basics
In and Out is a 6-reel, 5-row video slot with the Avalanche™ feature, Expanding Reels, a Heist Mode, Free Spins, Super Free Spins and the Elevate Feature with five options.
The game is played with scattered combinations of symbols, and different bet values. The combination of 6 or more of the same high-win symbol and combination of 8 or more of the same low-win symbol appearing anywhere on the reels awards a scattered win. Simultaneous scattered wins from combinations of different symbols are added. Only the highest win per scattered combination is paid.
Avalanche™ Feature
Any win starts an Avalanche™. Symbols in winning combinations disappear, leaving space for a new Avalanche of symbols. After all positions are filled, the wins are evaluated again. Avalanches continue until there are no more wins.
When symbols disappear as part of a scattered win, the positions they occupied become highlighted in bronze. Each position on the play area can have a tier level: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond.
At the start of each round, all positions begin without a tier. Whenever a new winning combination includes a highlighted position, that position’s tier increases by 1 level. Diamond tier is the highest tier after which no further upgrade is possible.
Wild Symbols
Wilds can appear anywhere on the reels during the game. Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except for the Bonus, Bomb, and Heist Mode symbols. Also, it can contribute to more than one scattered win. Wild symbol substitution pays the highest possible winning combination on a scattered win, according to the Paytable.
Expanding Reels
During the game, each Bomb that lands explodes and removes itself from the reels, as well as all the symbols immediately adjacent to it (except for the Bonus, Super Bonus, Wild, and Chloe symbol), making room for an Avalanche.
If the Bomb appears on the edge of the play area, the play area expands in that direction, with an extra reel or row, before the Avalanche. If a Bomb appears in a corner, the play area gains both an extra row and an extra reel. The play area can only expand once in each direction, and the maximum the play area can expand to is 8 reels and 7 rows per game round.
The area remains expanded until the end of the round, and it resets to its initial 6-reel, 5-row configuration at the beginning of the next spin.
Heist Mode
Heist Mode is activated when a highlighted area and Chloe girl symbol are present on the reels after all Avalanches. Chloe will start the heist in the highlighted area, and both Bonus and Super Bonus symbols remain on the reels during the Heist Mode.
The Heist Mode starts with 3 spins and can be increased by 1 each time an Extra Life symbol lands. In the Heist Mode area, every unoccupied position spins individually, and only Coin, Diamond, Bonus, and Heist Mode symbols can appear. Whenever a Coin, Diamond or Multiplier lands, it remains on the reels until the end of the Heist Mode.
Coins (which appear in the bronze, silver, or gold areas) and Diamonds (which appears in the diamond area) come with random multiplier values
Bronze Coins: x0.5, x1, x1.5, or x2
Silver Coins: x4, x6, x8, or x10
Gold Coins: x15, x20, x25, or x30
Diamonds: x50, x100, x200 or x1,000
The Heist Mode ends when the spins counter reaches 0, or when its play area is completely filled with symbols. Wins are evaluated, and the game returns to the round that activated the Heist Mode.
Heist Mode Symbols
These symbols appear in the Heist Mode and can land only on Bronze, Silver, or Gold tier positions.
he Multiplier appears with a random value of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 and multiplies the value on all the Coins, Diamonds and Collectors at the end of the Heist Mode.
The Upgrader upgrades all positions immediately adjacent to it to the next highlight tier, including Bonus symbol upgrading to Super Bonus. Affected positions that were not originally part of the Heist Mode area become part of it with a bronze highlight. Additionally, any coin on the existing tier color will be upgraded to the next tier with the coin value upgrading to that tier's lowest value.
The Burst upgrades a random number of un-highlighted positions to the same highlight tier of the Burst symbol. These positions then become part of the Heist Mode. The Burst symbol can also affect positions outside of the play area, thus expanding it.
When an Upgrader and a Burst appear together in the Heist Mode, a Blast is triggered. It combines both symbol effects and uses the higher of the two tier levels: the Upgrader increases adjacent positions by one tier, and the Burst sets affected positions to the chosen tier. The Blast also awards coins directly by adding coin types and coin values to all empty positions by the Upgrader and/or the Burst.
The Extra Life symbol awards one extra Heist Mode spin. It is then removed from the Heist Mode with the next spin.
The Collector gathers the value of all Coins, Diamonds, and other Collectors in the Heist Mode play area. It remains in the play area, while the collected symbols are removed. It stays on the reels until another Collector appears, after which both Collectors disappear.
Free Spins
There are two types of symbols that can activate Free Spins — Bonus and Super Bonus.
In the main game, 3 Bonus symbols of any kind award Free Spins after all Avalanches have completed, and wins are evaluated. Free Spins start with 5 spins and each Super Bonus symbol in this combination will award 1 additional spin.
In the Free Spins, the same mechanics as in the main game apply. The grid size and the highlighted tiles are kept from the triggering spin in the main game and remain until they are used in the Heist Mode. Bomb, Heist Mode, and its special features can still be triggered during Free Spins, allowing the play area to be expanded further, and increasing the potential for larger wins.
Additionally, up to 2 Bonus symbols can be awarded per spin: 1 Bonus symbol awards 1 extra spin, and 2 Bonus symbols (including from an Avalanche) award 2 extra spins. Bonus symbols cannot be upgraded.
If the Super Free Spins is activated, it will always start with a maximum grid size, and same as in Free Spins, up to 2 Bonus symbols award up to 2 additional spins.
Free Spins and Super Free Spins are played at the same bet as the round that activated them. At the end of Free Spins or Super Free Spins, their total win is added to any wins from the round that activated them, and the game returns to that round.
